A writer once said “write about what you know.” My life at this time revolved around sports. A good friend and mentor, Melchior Digiacomo, hired me as his assistant at a critical time in my life. He was and is a great photographer and I learned a lot from him.
When my brother Jack and I started shooting sports we were the only brother team working together. After Howard Chapnick, President of Black Star photo agency, wrote an article about us for Popular Photography magazine we completed many assignments for Time, Newsweek, Life and many other publications.
